Back to Zürs

Getting to Zurs is quite straightforward with plenty of transport links and airlines to get you there. Zurs is accessible from no fewer than five airports including Friedrichshafen, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Munich and Zurich. The closest is Innsbruck at just under two hours by train and bus transfer, and even less by car. Innsbruck is now served by Easyjet from several regional airports in the UK. Zurich is further away but runs direct ski buses to resort at weekends whilst Loacker Tours offers a weekend shuttle to the Arlberg from Friedrichshafen. Their buses are conveniently timed to coincide with Ryanair flights and prices start from €30 one-way. The nearby resort of St Anton has a well served station and is very easy to reach. From there you can complete the journey to Zurs in under half an hour by bus.

  • Innsbruck to Zurs 109km, transfer time around 1.25hrs
  • Friedrichshafen to Zurs 128km, transfer time just under 1.5hrs
  • Zurich to Zurs 189km, transfer time just over 2hrs

Travelling to the Alps by train can be relaxing and it is the eco-friendly option. The journey from London to St Anton will take between 12 and 14 hours via Paris and Zurich. Driving from Calais is at least a 9 hour drive with more than 1000km to be covered. Take the motorway through Strasbourg (E25) and then change on to the E60 near Basel. This will take you almost all the way to resort via Zurich and the last few kilometres are well signposted off the motorway. The mountain roads can get hairy though, so beware of the need for chains on this last section.
