Back to Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb is well serviced from Vancouver International Airport and offers a stunningly beautiful resort transfer. Vancouver International Airport is the closest gateway airport to the resort with direct flights from UK, via British Airways and Air Canada. Flight time is around 10 hours.

Sea to Sky

The transfer from Vancouver to Whistler Village is about two hours by road. The newly upgraded ‘Sea to Sky’ highway is one of the most scenic drives in the world.

  • Vancouver to Whistler 79miles, transfer time around 2hrs

Private transfer is the most convenient option to take you directly to your accommodation, especially as the free buses mean you don’t need a car in resort. If you do decide to rent a car make sure to ask for either four-wheel drive or snow chains. This is particularly important for the road between Squamish and Whistler which is often only passable by 4×4 vehicles or those fitted with chains; this is enforced by the police and in severe weather the road may even be closed. Remember to drive on the right and check with your accommodation that they will provide parking. Coach transfer is a cheaper option so take a look at Greyhound or Perimeter.

Enjoy the charms of Vancouver

Many visitors choose to spend a couple of nights in Vancouver either at the start of their trip to get over any jetlag, or to relax at the end. Vancouver is a great city with loads to offer for culture vultures and shopaholics alike. It has good food to suit all budgets and, as you’d expect, bundles of outdoor activities and a beach! But it’s known to rain there so whatever else you do, don’t forget your umbrella!
