Back to Verbier

Toby Mallock first arrived in Verbier in 2002. His goal was to have a life style change and teach skiing full time. He succeeded. He set up Performance Verbier with his good friend Kenta and now lives full-time down the valley in Le Chable with his wife Caroline and their son and daughter who we are sure will grow up to be a great skiers like their Daddy.

Money no object?

If you are one of those visitors to Verbier for whom money is no object, fly to the Petit Combin glacier by helicopter and enjoy a lavish picnic at 3,700m. This can be arranged for you by Kando Verbier.

Ride as fast as the girls

However for a less expensive ski thrill you can head over to Thyon 3000 and take on the infamous ‘Piste de L’Ours’ which is the womens FIS downhill run. It’s over 3.5km of rather steep piste! It’s not just for the girls…

Something for the kids

And for the children (and the big kids) there is the Air Bag in La Chaux and the Donuts below Dahu, also in La Chaux.

For non-skiers and non-skiing days

For the non skier, or on a day when you cant ski, a real treat is to relax at the W Hotel Verbier in their AWAY® Spa’. It includes an indoor and outdoor pool, hammam, jacuzzi, steam rooms and nemerous treatments available. And then afterwards why not check out their fabulous cocktail lounge, or grab a refreshing juice from the Artic Cafe.

And something to make you go “umm”

For the gourmand a trip to the trendy Vie Montagne is a must. Finish the day with an exquisite 7 course tasting menu 95 CHF.

Our thanks to Toby for taking time to share his five best things to do in Verbier with us.
