Val Thorens has a lot to offer every visitor, whether you are skiing or not. Here are some ideas to keep you busy, an early visit to the Tourist Office once you are in resort will give you details of events taking place during your stay.

Ice driving

Fancy trying the ultimate adrenalin rush ?  Look no further than ice driving in Val Thorens.  The Alain Prost Ice Circuit is the highest in Europe and at 760m long you are sure to have an experience unrivalled by any other. You get full instruction for beginners in a selection of cars depending on experience.  Not a cheap option but, wow what a thrill!

Mountain Biking on Snow

For the athletic, experienced mountain bikers, get the ultimate thrill and ride your bike down a snowy slope at 3000m altitude and lasting 700m. After the slopes close at 5pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, Gerald Bigot, qualified instructor, will take you up for the ultimate adrenalin rush.

Tobogganing

At 6km long this is the longest toboggan run in Europe, taking approximately 45 mins from top to bottom. Starting at around 3000m of altitude at the foot of the Algulles de Peclet. Open daily from 10am – 3pm and evenings, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Accessible via the Funtel de Peclet, tickets are for adults and children over 5, with night time ventures, a head torch and helmet completing your outfit. (Prices increase if you don’t have a lift pass).
