Back to Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village ski resort itself is limited for non-skiers. Aside from admiring the spectacular Rocky Mountains from one of the pubs or restaurants, non-skiing activities end at snow-shoeing through the mountains. So if any members of your group are not really keen skiers, or are not feeling great, it would make sense to stay in the nearby town of Banff which has great bus links to Sunshine Village in addition to Mount Norquay and Lake Louise.

Other activities in Banff

Banff-Lake Louise is an outdoor enthusiast’s playground; dog sledding, ice climbing and walking, cross country skiing, hot pools, snowshoeing, yoga classes, fitness centres, biking and hiking trails are all on the itinerary. And from souvenirs to designer ski brands, there are also plenty of stores if you’re looking for a dose of retail therapy.

Events at Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village is host to some great yearly events including Bikini’s for Breast Cancer, Waterkeeper Alliance Celebrity Ski and the annual year end: Slush Cup. All of them are well worth the trip up from Banff.
