Our St Anton expert is Rosie Barcroft. All it took was a sunny day in Courchevel, a beautiful instructor called Séverine, a bright pink wedgease and Rosie (age four) was hooked on skiing. Rosie now works in PR supporting many ski resorts including St Anton.
Hot chocolate at altitude
Head to the Gampen mountain restaurant in St Anton for incredible views of the resort and a creamy hot chocolate. (Add a shot of amaretto for good measure.)
Ski show Austrian style
Don’t miss the Ski Show (a free event every Wednesday at 9 pm). Here, instructors showcase their skills while demonstrating skiing through the ages – think one large pole and wooden skis…
Amazing off-piste
Board the Valluga cable car and get ready to experience some incredible off-piste skiing (remember to pack your transceiver, shovel and probe, just in case).
Piano serenade by candlelight
Book a candlelight dinner at the Verwallstube, situated at the top of the Galzig gondola. Sample delicious dishes created by head chef Bernhard Neuhold, while being serenaded by a pianist. (Available every Thursday evening.)
The legendary MooserWirt
Enjoy a hearty lunch at the MooserWirt (the Farmer’s Salad Bowl is delicious) before joining in with the après ski from 3 pm.
