Back to Serre Chevalier

The snow record here is excellent and skiing reaches as high as 2830m on North-facing slopes. In the 2006/7 ski season, further snowmaking facilities were installed in the Monetier sector to further increase snow reliability. With skiing above and in the tree line there is a nice variety on offer in Serre Chevalier, and as it was one of the last resorts to be noticed and developed the infrastructure is very modern.

Beginners will find nursery slopes at the base of the lifts, the best being at Chantemerle. Many of the reds offer exciting and challenging skiing and the run under the Briancon gondola is great for intermediates. For the advanced there is plenty to keep the adrenaline high, both on and off-piste. The resort was rated 10 out of 10 by the World Snowboard Guide as the best resort in all aspects. Natural couloirs and half-pipes are supplemented by many man-made terrain parks and Serre Che now has cult status among boarders.
