Back to Sauze d’Oulx

Sauze d’Oulx sits at one end of the Milky Way area with links to the neighbouring resorts such as Sestriere and Cesana, and to Montegenevre on the French side of the border. Intermediate skiers will find more than half of the 200km of pistes perfect for confidence-building, and whilst there is much work to be done the links between the resorts are improving slowly. Beginners will be well looked after in Sauze with good ski schools, but may find the initial experience stressful with the nursery slopes of the Sportina Plateau accessed by bus or long walk, followed by a cablecar.

More advanced skiers will soon want to progress away from the local slopes of Sauze but can easily reach Sestriere, the black runs at the top of Mount Motta or the World Cup Kandahar Slalom. Snowboarders will love the ‘Double Black’ district of the Rio Nero valley.
