Turin Airport is just 85 km away from Sauze and the ease of access to this resort, coupled with its party reputation, make it a great weekend ski destination. The transfer time from Turin is just an hour and a quarter by road or by train, with regular train services to the nearest station at Oulx (just 5km away). Budget carriers Easyjet and Ryanair both now fly to Turin from all over the UK so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding a flight. As well as the train transfer there are several companies offering private minibus transfers and you can expect to pay around €350 for a return in an 8 seater. Driving a hire car from the airport is a good option too with the roads being fairly straightforward and you will have the option of travelling to other resorts by car during your stay.

Sauze is over 900km from the French channel ports so allow at least 9 hours if planning to drive all the way. The most direct route is to head south through France via Dijon, Lyon and Chambery before entering Italy by the the Frejus Tunnel rather than the Mont Blanc Tunnel. There are never normally problems with snowy roads as the resort is just off the E70 motorway. The train journey from the UK is an eco-friendly method of travel and you can get to resort from London in 11 hours with very few changes. A sleeper train from Paris to Turin will leave you needing just a short hop to Oulx on the Italian mainline.
