Ski the loop
How many resorts can you ski 2 countries in one day? You have to do it… Vin chaud stops in France, gluehwein stops in Switzerland, French or Swiss fondue for lunch? Don’t stop for too long though the loop is a whole day affair and is on back of most piste maps, there are shorter varatiations that you can work out for yourself – see if you can beat our record of 1hr 55mins for the shortest loop possible.
Eat drink and be merry
Morzine has some all time culinary highs. Le Ferme De Fruitiere, the cheese that they serve they make in the same building as the restaurant and the quality is second to none. O’chalet makes fine burgers from local meat in bio buns and Rotonde has this rib lovers all time best ribs!
Waterpark at 1800m!
There is 650km of piste here so seldom do we do much else apart from ski however if we were to take one afternoon off then a waterpark surrounded by snow would have our vote! There is a half pipe, a lazy river ride, outdoor hot tub and a kids water play park too!
Watch an ice hockey game
Countless American movies that we watched growing up features the right of passage that is the watching an ice hockey game so come on down, the beer is cold, the snacks good and the atmosphere when the home team score will have you yelling like a local!
Brave the Swiss Wall or shred the Stash
We have yet to see a bucket ski list that does not feature the Wall as one of the hardest must ski pistes in the world. If endurance is not your thing try Burtons the Stash voted by CNN viewers as the best run in the world!
