Merano 2000 may be a small resort but they have a range of accommodation options. In the main it is aimed at families, including chalets in the village, all serving traditional Mediterranean dishes and with large sun terraces for you to relax on and soak up the sun.
You can stay on a traditional farm serving all local products or if you are on a budget there is a youth hostel and bed and breakfast available. There are 4-star hotels in several villages, however if it is 5-star luxury you are looking for then you will have to stay in the centre of Merano and travel to the ski area daily.
