Some of the accommodation on offer in Livigno is a stark contrast to the upmarket nature of nearby St Moritz, with plenty of studios and apartments providing cheap beds for bargain hunters. Groups of young party-goers are attracted by the tax free status of Livigno and generally don’t spend much on their accommodation. The tourist office has a database of private apartments for rent and livigno-apartments.com is worth a try too. Interhome is one of Europe’s largest holiday rental agencies and they have plenty available in Livigno. In terms of tour operators Inghams has quite a good selection of properties but most of the big companies have something on offer here. Bigger groups will find chalets available on a self-catered basis too and Park Village at Teola offers fairly new smart chalets for rent.
There are a lot of hotels in Livigno and this reflects the family friendly nature of the resort. Hotels with half board packages and ski to the door convenience are the norm here and the difficult task will be deciding between the huge numbers that are on offer. The Hotel Sporting is a good budget option near the Carosello 3000 lift whilst the Hotel Centro is also a god value 2-star in a good spot just 50m from the lifts. If you can stretch to something a bit classier take a look at the luxurious Hotel Amerikan, a 4-star offering a prime location, spacious rooms and plenty of leisure facilities. The Hotel Touring is another classy and yet unpretentious 4 star with reasonable prices.
