Back to Les Contamines

The majority of accommodation in Les Contamines ski resort is in mountain chalets, both catered and self-catered, and there are plenty of great options to choose between. You can get a good idea of the alternatives by visiting www.lescontamines.com or www.contamines-immobilier.fr.

When choosing where to stay do keep in mind that the village is quite spread out, running along two sides of a valley, with a river at the bottom splitting it in two. The base station for the mountain is a little way away from the village centre, and many of the chalets a little distance from both. There are pretty footpaths down to the bottom of the valley and up again, as well as regular ski buses doing the rounds, but check exactly where your accommodation is if easy accessibility is important to you.

If you’re looking for a hotel in Les Contamines then there are a handful of good options to suit varying budgets. Try the lovely two-star Le Gai Soleil, housed in a converted farm with superb views of the Montjoie Valley, or La Chemenaz, a traditional, three-star chalet-hotel boasting a great location at the foot of the slopes. For those on a budget les Contamines has a selection of reasonably priced B&Bs too. Try the Auberge de Chalezan or the Chez Adalbert, both offer reasonably priced rooms for 2-4 people with breakfast included.
