Chic, high-end Lech is a firm favourite with the wealthy and celebrities, and so prices are higher than in other resorts. Oddly there’s not actually all that much shopping to be done. Lech is mostly about posing and frequenting champagne bars.
Meanwhile the snow is excellent. Lech gets very generous snowfalls that stick around on the high, sunny, treeless slopes. The lift infrastructure and network of slopes on offer is of the highest order and most skiers and snowboarders will find something to suit them.
Lech is a beautiful backdrop for the posh people, with chocolate box architecture and stunning views that will take your breath away. The problem for the average traveller is that the prices may leave you gasping for air too! The resort, which already shared its piste area with nearby Zürs, is now linked to the tiny village of Warth, adding a great deal more piste to play with, and a few rather more affordable restaurant options. Excellent grooming will keep all levels of piste skier happy, and experts will want to seek out the off-piste to make the most of all that snow.
