The Alpenarena rises to an impressive 3018m above sea level on the Vorab glacier. 70% of the runs are above 2000m. You can therefore be sure of decent snow conditions late in to the season, even when the south-facing runs to the villages are suffering.
The resort offers 220km of pistes with four snowparks and one of Europe’s most famous halfpipes. The pistes are well-marked and the lift system is modern and efficient. The ski resort of Laax offers a wide range of fairly snow sure pistes and a comforting quota of tree-lined skiing for those days when you can’t see the end of your nose!
Terrain for different abilities
For advanced skiers there are abundant off-piste opportunities and a freestyle area, whilst intermediates will enjoy the red number 10 piste all the way back to Flims Dorf village from La Siala at the end of the day.
Novices generally head to the wide blue runs of Foppa via the three-man chair from Dorf.
The home run back down to Laax Murschetg can get bumpy, icy or slushy depending on the time of the year – making for a lot of fun or hell on earth depending your point of view!
