Back to Fernie

Fernie Alpine Resort is a Canadian ski resort in British Columbia. The resort is based near the old mining town of Fernie and the skiing is set in the Lizard Range of the Canadian Rockies. This place gets a lot of snow so be prepared for powder skiing!

To get to Fernie from the UK you will need to fly. Direct flights to Calgary International Airport are the best option but will entail a transfer time of approximately three-and-half hours from airport to resort. Cranbook B.C. is the closest airport (one-and-quarter hour transfer time) but you can’t get direct flights from the UK. However you could try taking a connection via a different Canadian airport or a US airport. For anyone who finds themselves in Vancouver you are looking at 10-hour bus ride to Fernie or a short flight to Cranbook B.C. followed by a bus transfer to Fernie.
