Fernie offers a great mix of dining options, from modest to eclectic and a sprinkling of international cuisine. The locals love the B.C burger with grilled salmon and fixins on a homemade bun, however there is sushi and sashimi to tempt you along with fresh curries and tapas. For a lighter offering there are wood-fired pizzas and bagels.
The offerings on the mountain are a little sparse with just one restaurant as such – the Lost Boys Cafe, but there is the Bear’s Den which sells snacks. You won’t find a buzzing nightlife in Fernie but the après scene can get pretty wild. The town has a good mix of bars and is very popular with the locals, who will extend a warm welcome to visitors.
