Back to Champoluc

Italians are known for their love of food, and the care and attention they pay to its preparation is obvious. Eating out here is an event in itself as you sample the many different local dishes – ranging from antipasti of cheeses and cured meats to first courses of good mountain soups and pasta dishes followed by some delicious main courses including local game. One of the great things about Champoluc is the luxury of long lunches, which you can enjoy in the numerous mountain restaurants.
When it comes to après-ski Champoluc is a very Italian venue, which revolves primarily around restaurants and bars. It’s generally pretty quiet, however there’s more of a buzz about the place at weekends, when Italians arrive from Turin and Milan.  At the end of the day on the mountain, L’Atelier Gourmand (bar and restaurant) is very popular with locals and tourists. You’ll find it at the bottom of the steps up to the gondola.
