Back to Cervinia

The high-altitude slopes of Cervinia can appear bleak at first. That said there are few resorts that can compete with the reliability of the snow and facilities on offer. The beginner areas at resort level don’t suffer from the usual patchy slopes early and late in the season with the resort being under snow from October until May, and for those wishing to progress their snow skills it is hard to beat the long immaculately-groomed red runs on offer.

Several drag lifts have been replaced with modern chairs in recent years, and coupled with one of the best terrain parks in Italy, this has increased the appeal of Cervinia to snowboarders.

The excellent Indian Park is run by 5 local Italian shapers, providing fun things for all levels. It is located directly to the skiers right of the Bontadini chair lift.

On the down side, off-piste is limited and experienced skiers will be easily frustrated.  If you are searching for powder and thrills head to Zermatt and its more challenging terrain. You’ll need to keep a close eye on the forecast as the links close frequently due to bad weather.
