Back to Cauterets

There is a wide and expanding range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets in Cauterets and recent investment into the town has led to increasing standards and level of comfort on offer.  There are a wide range of hotels from the Victorian era to the modern for all budgets. There are good supermarkets, restaurants and shops along with an excellent covered market so self catering is a good value option here. Mulcares in the Pyrenees offer affordable stylish apartments based in Rue de la Raillere, a charming street in the old town quarter. These apartments are also particularly suited to families with baby and toddler packs containing useful equipment such as travel cots and high chairs. Most of the accommodation in Cauterets is family friendly though.

Those looking for a little bit of luxury should consider Hotel le Bois Joli which has rooms starting from €80 per night based on two people sharing, with breakfast.  In the heart of the town, next to the tourist office, this hotel is also home to the popular Le Ski Bar. Hotel Le Chantilly is a small charming family hotel offering above average value for money. It is run by an English speaking couple and has rooms from €26 per person, sharing a double room including breakfast. Accommodation similar to a hostel is available if you’re on a very tight budget. Try the Gite Beau Soleil, tucked away in the town’s old quarter with prices starting at €18 per person per night.
