Back to Alpbach

As a quintessential Tyrolean village it is no surprise that most of the accommodation is to be found within chalet-style buildings, but there is something to suit all tastes and budgets. The popularity of the resort for conferences has led to a rise in the number of big hotels, some of a very high standard, but there are plenty of private apartments for rent and traditional chalet accommodation. There is even a hostel for those looking to do Alpbach on a budget. If you are looking to self-cater the first port of call ought to be the tourist office as they have over 150 chalets and apartments on their books. Interhome also has a good selection in the resort.

The Hotel Alpbacherhof is a comfortable 3-star in a great location just a couple of minutes from the slopes and a 5 minute stroll from bars and restaurants. As is typical in Austria the service standards are high in Alpbach and most hotels excel in this department. The Romantikhotel Boglerhof is highly recommended for people with young children as they provide a babysitter every afternoon and evening and a large playroom supplements the natural outdoor playground. The Furstenhof above the village is a 2-star guest house offering a cheaper option with meals taken next door in the Hotel Alphof. The Alphof itself is a firm favourite with food lovers due to its excellent restaurant. Pension Gratlspitz is ideal for those on a budget but not wishing to compromise on location. This small guest house is right in the middle of the action and B&B is very reasonable at around 30 Euros per night.
