Being the kind of girl who has to be prized away from my old kit, I was gutted when my old goggles, quite literally, cracked up!
My friends had raved about the magnetic options, but I wasn’t convinced. Then someone passed me a pair of the latest Panda goggles…I am a convert!
New for this season the RS1 magnetic goggles were developed with the help of 4x Olympian Chemmy Alcott and our team of British Alpine racers.
I’m no competitor, but I welcomed the sharpened visibility and the all-day comfort. The goggles are also easy to adjust and to slip on to your helmet.
The bold, UV400+ mirrored protective polarised lens and frameless design also looks good, and the lens also has a built-in top and bottom bumper to help prevent scratches.
The goggles also come with a maize yellow low light lens, and it’s really quick to change them over.
We were 10 minutes from a lift closing when we started to lose light fast.
It seemed a time luxury I didn’t have to swap lenses, but the sales blurb said this could be done in under five seconds, so I decided to test it.
The lenses pulled off and snapped on – as promised – and greatly improved my low-light ski confidence.
Panda RS1s are also equipped with anti-fog technology.
They cost £129 and include a second low light HD lens, storage box, cleaning cloth and microfiber bag.
