Whether you have a long ski day ahead of you, or you (accidentally) had a large night last night – a good breakfast will see you right for the day. Here are my top suggestions for breakfasts in the Swiss resort of Verbier:
Offshore Cafe – legendary
Offshore’s famous pink Beetle
Situated next to Medran Lift their breakfast menu is vast.
From pancakes and porridge to Mexican and British breakfasts, served with freshly squeezed juices and great coffee. The restaurant is always buzzing and a window seat provides a great place from which to watch the world as they walk up to the main lift station in resort.
English breakfast: eggs sunny side up, bacon or ham, tomato, sausages, hash browns, toasts, jam, baked beans. 21CHF
Blueberry pancakes. 14.50CHF
Cappuccino. 3.90CHF
The Bakery – budget option
If you find yourself out late in the evening and are passing between the Nelson Pub and the Loft Bar, on the stairs is a single window. If it’s open you can order through the window and the bakers will climb a ladder to pass you up the freshest croissants and pain au chocolates for you to take home. There is also a window at the Boulangerie de Croquignoles, below the bar Crock No Name, on the hill on the way up to Savolyres.
During the day Boulangerie de Croquignoles is open and you can sit in and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee with your breakfast choice. This is definitely the most economic way to have breakfast in this town.
The Relais des Neiges – local favourite

Situated directly opposite the Medran Lift station you can get a bacon sandwich and a decent coffee in the Relais des Neiges for just 7CHF. Add an egg for 2CHF. They also do a very good value lunch menu, should you decide to ski down. No frills, no fuss, it’s where the locals go as it’s value for money food done well.
The Arctic Juice bar
Arctic Juice Bar – healthy start
Attached to the W Hotel at the top of the town, just above Medran is the new-this-season Arctic Juice Bar. Just reading the menu makes you feel healthy. Order your organic coffees, clean juices with spirulina, coconut and avocado with your energy packed breakfasts at the bar the take a seat and relax whilst they prepare it all for you fresh in their small kitchen.
Once your order has been freshly brewed/squeezed/made they yell out your name. “Pixie, Pixie Lott” she yelled when we were there!
Smoked salmon with avocado, lime juice, chilli flakes on rye. 17CHF
Noisette coffee, a single shot of coffee with a splash of hot milk. 4CHF
Good Morning Verbier – they deliver!
Situated in the Hammeau area of Verbier, Good Morning Verbier is a new home delivery service offering delicious breakfast options. They also have a premises up in Hammeau where you can sit in and enjoy healthy food options or a good espresso, cappuccino, macchiatto ….
Orange juice, croissant, tea or coffee. 7CHF
Marinated chia with almond milk, honey, home made granola, goji berries, mandarines, grapes. 10CHF
Or for the morning after the night before how about a glass of Champagne, salmon on toast, fois gras on toast, croissant, tea or coffee. 40CHF
