This cafe/bar is popular with all sorts, locals playing cards in the afternoon and English and Scandinavian visitors in the evening. Tom Dooley’s is run by a charismatic local who, apart from holding the prestigious title of President of the Kandahar Ski Club, plays a mean blues and jazz clarinet when the mood takes him. More of a pub than a bar, serving Guinness alongside Austrian beers. Bar snacks only – pizzas, soups, frankfurters and burgers.

Open 3pm-1/2am (food service stops around 11pm).

They also have apartments for rent – basic but reasonably priced. Located about five minutes walk up the road from Nassereinbahn (walking away from the village), tucked away on the left-hand side.
