Dominic and his wife have been running Onkel Tim’s Hutte for 17 years. This cosy rustic restaurant is all about choice – as long as you want a pizza. Pizzas come in three sizes, 25cm, 31cm and 40cm diameter – they have the pizza dishes on display so you can see exactly how big they are.  Once you have decided how big your appetite is, there are 17 different pizzas to choose from – everything from a standard Margerita to the Buongustaio (tomoato sauce, goat’s cheese, figs, deer salami, pine nuts and alpine herbs).

And as you’re already expecting, this choice is carried through to the drinks menu too: as well as some slightly unusual apertifs such as prosecco with elderflower, you can order Murphy’s, non-alcoholic beer or choose from an extensive wine list which stretches to 18 pages offering over 400 wines from as far afield as Washington State or Slovenia. Prices range from 32 CHF to 420 CHF. Once you’ve eaten there’s a list of 17 grappas and 10 schapps.

There’s a small selection of starters (salads etc). If there’s a larger group of you or the restaurant is busy it might be worth ordering a starter as all the pizzas are cooked to order.
