Based in ski resorts across the French Alps, New Generation ski school are a British run ski and snowboard school. In 2005, Which Guides and the Snow Awards voted New Generation the Ski School of the Year. They focus on coaching vs. instruction. New Gen’s brochure invites you to ‘unlock your potential’ and classes revolve around helping you to understand what you need to do, so that you can continue improving after the lessons.
They also have clinics two afternoons a week for those who want lessons but don’t want to commit to a week of ski school. Children’s classes from four years. They also run British instructor training programmes, including the Official BASI Gap Course. Lessons start in 1650 and 1850. Morning lessons are for beginners to intermediates (4-8 people per group). Afternoons are technical Performance Clinics for intermediates to advanced (3-6 people in a clinic). Private lessons run all week for all levels.
New Generation Ski School also have offices in Avoriaz, Courchevel, La Tania, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Meribel, Morzine, Serre Chevalier, St Martin de Belleville, Tignes, Vallandry, Val d’Isere ,Val Thorens and Verbier. The office in Tignes is run by husband and wife team Anthony and Tess Swallow who have been teaching in the Espace Killy for a number of years. Unless otherwise arranged, the meeting point for lessons is on the main snowfront in le Lac. They run group lessons for adults and children as well as private clinics and coaching.
