Fabulous views, three sunny terraces and service so welcoming that you feel like a regular on your first visit. The prices tend to be on the high side but the cooking is good quality and the views are worth it. In high season they serve a full menu ’til 3.30pm but will still offer omelettes, salads and other light dishes pretty much until closing time. Despite the size, booking is essential, as the place is extremely popular, with people. If you are here during school holidays, it is usually worth booking before you arrive in resort.
There is a newer, self-service ‘sandwicherie’ just below the main entrance. When we visited the food was very average and the drinks more or less the same price as the main restaurant. However, if there are seats free, it’s a good place for a drink stop, especially as there are handy toilets.
Here’s a short video showing the lovely views from the terrace of the Bel Air restaurant in Courchevel France
