The easy access to this mountain restaurant in Verbier ensures that it is often busy, to the extent that it can be hard to find somewhere to sit. However, it seems unlikely that it’s the quality of the self-service food that draws the crowds; basic fuel at reasonable prices pretty much sums it up.

The cold meat platter or cheese and walnut salad make a reasonable lunch if combined with a bowl of soup. The staff are efficient though extremely busy so don’t expect too many smiles! Table service is available upstairs and, although it’s quieter there, prices are much higher. They rclose earlier than others, so if you’re planning on eating lunch here don’t arrive too late.
