Aqua Dome near Obergurgl, AustriaAround a 30 minute drive from Oberguergl, the Aqua Dome thermal spa attached to a four star hotel. This beautiful spa complex with outdoor pools with different temperatures, an exercise pool (not usually required after a day on the slopes) and a whirlpool. Indoor there’s
an indoor pool and sauna area (which costs extra).  Whilst the sauna area is a fabric free zone (ie no swimming costumes) it’s worth braving it to experience the different saunas and steam rooms and a lovely outdoor pool (pictured).  It’s such a great experience you’ll almost certainly regret having to get dressed again afterwards.  The spa also has a restaurant attached where you pay for food with your wristband (you settle your bill as you exit).
There is also a beauty salon offering a range of massages including a Tirolean honey massage and other treatments. If you’re feeling romantic they also offer massage rooms for two with a glass of prosecco each.
It’s not the cheapest experience in the world – a 3 hour ticket is €22, with the saunas as well it’s €44 and robes and towels are extra (€8 and €6) but when you leave feeling as relaxed as we did, we think it’s good value.
Open till 11pm and midnight Fridays.Lovely outdoor shot of the swimming pool at the Aqua Dome, Austria
