Verbier – Food and drink
Regular visitors will tell you that Verbier is all about skiing hard and partying hard. The après ski scene is vibrant around the foot of the Medran cable car before the party moves to the town centre in the evening. Verbier has everything from the compulsory ‘Irish’ Bar to cocktail lounges and some of the most exclusive nightclubs in the Alps. Many of these are open until 4am and Coco’s was the first VIP member’s only club in any ski resort.
Verbier is also a good place for a meal with over 40 places to eat. Budget-conscious visitors will find plenty of hamburger joints and pizzerias whilst those who want to splash the cash should look at the Montpellier or the restaurant of Roland Pierroz, one of the most renowned chefs in Switzerland. Mountain restaurants tend to be nothing to write home about – large, functional self-service places, with a few exceptions of course.
