Saas-Fee – Food and drink
This small town punches above its weight when it comes to gastronomy and with over 100 restaurants you will be spoilt for choice. Cuisine is mostly Valais specialities but there is no shortage of fine-dining or Italian eateries either. The border is just a few kilometres away, so the Italian influence is understandably strong. Don’t be afraid to venture out of the main street as a lot of the best restaurants are tucked away in side streets or towards the forest. The people of Saas Fee pride themselves on superior levels of customer service, so get ready for a treat!
On the mountain Saas Fee is the proud host to the highest revolving restaurant in Europe at Allalin. You will pay for the privilege of eating there but the views are unbeatable. After the lifts close the outdoor bars are lively until around 7pm before the indoor venues take over and encourage you to party until sunrise.
