Merano 2000 – Food and drink

The South Tyrolean culinary style is a symbiotic combination of typical Tyrolean plates and light Mediterranean dishes. On the menu you will find cheese dumplings, soups and roasts with fresh ingredients from the surroundings as well as refined pasta or vegetable dishes.

The ski area has a bistro at the cable car station along with two restaurants, the Falzeben and the Panorama. On the mountain there are eight mountain restaurants, many of which are family run and serve good local food and traditional local dishes. Children are well catered for. The restaurants on the mountain all have large sun terraces so you can while away a sunny lunchtime and recharge your batteries.

In the resort itself, just above the city of Merano, you will find several bars. The après-ski scene is to be found in the Igloo bar next to the Zuegghutte and the Boxen Stopp next to the Falzeben restaurant.
