Les Menuires – Resort services
Les Menuires is a big resort and provides a large range of services to help you enjoy your ski holiday. There are three medical centres, a police service, town hall in Saint Martin de Belleville, four information centres, a post office, free internet access, a hairdresser, two cinemas a nursery, dentist and chemist - so basically anything you could need while you're away.
Cash machines
There are six cash machines in the resort: four in la Croisette (in the shopping centre), one in les Bruyères and one in Saint martin de Belleville.
Getting around resort
Free shuttles run every day from 8am to 11.30pm, every 20 minutes. Free shuttles work four times a day between Siant Martin de Belleville and les Menuires.
Internet access
All the main bars and restaurants offers free internet access, try any of the following: the Challenge, le Mousse, l'Hacienda, l'Etoile, la Ferme, l'Igloo, Medz'ery, Skilt, la Chouette, le Billig, le Leeberty, le New Pop.
Additionally the ski resort offers its own Wi-Fi. For one week it will cost around €30 or €9.50 per day.
Tourist offices also offer a computer with internet access for the same price as Wi-Fi.
Tourist offices
There are four tourist offices and informations centres: la Croisette, les Bruyères, Reberty 1850 and Saint Martin de Belleville.
On Saturday, for late arrivals, an information point in open at the entrance of the resort and provides information and even keys to their appartment. And on Saturdays during the school holidays, students meet and greet holiday makers, so that they can find their appartments easily.
The tourist ofiices provide a full range of information; from maps of the resort, listings of events to answering your questions and queries about how to get around the ski resort.
Supermarkets
Expect smaller supermarkets as standard in ski resorts. They typically open from 9am to 7.30pm although Carrefour is 8am to 8pm. In total there are nine supermarkets in the resort.
Childcare
The Piou Piou village offer a nursery service for babies from three months old. Reserving your spot is highly recommended though. From age 3-5 kids can start learning to ski. Four Piou Piou villages exist in the resort: la Croisette (the biggest with the nursery), les Bruyères, Reberty and St Martin de Belleville (without the nursery but babies from 18 months old can join).
