La Tania – Food and drink

The image of La Tania as a family resort has somewhat hampered it’s growth in terms of the après ski scene with most visitors to the area still concentrating on the nightlife around Meribel and Courchevel (accessed by free shuttle bus). There’s not a huge choice with just 6 bars and 8 restaurants, but anyone who has lived and worked a season in La Tania will tell you that it’s all about quality rather than quantity. One restaurant (Le Farcon) is now recognised in the Michelin guide. There is also the usual mix of pizza, pasta and Savoyard cheese dishes, and your money will go further here than elsewhere in the valley.
 
Daytime is a whole different ball game and there is little point in restricting your lunches to the local area. The fast and efficient lift system of this vast ski region will ensure that you can sample the delights of mountain restaurants in several different sectors.
