Like most people I’m a sucker for the end of season ski sales, and a couple of seasons ago I picked up a good deal in the form of a pair of Head Vector LTD boots. They fitted me pretty nicely straight from the box but as the following season wore on they packed down to the extent where there have been days when it’s felt like my feet are racing around on a private little adventure of their own inside the boots.
It's not something you usually get excited about; in fact it's usually something you begrudge paying too much for, forget to put on, suffer awkward leaks or spillages, and then wash off by mistake in a slush tumble. It's suncream - absolutely critical for spring skiing, but not an awful lot of fun.
The Family Ski Company, the market leader in skiing for families, are offering a discount for the last week of their season. For the week commencing 11 April, properties in Ardent (Portes du Soleil), Reberty Village (Three Valleys) and Les Coches (Paradiski) willl be £299 per adult and £199 per child. The catered chalets, designed and operated with the family in mind, are reduced from £619 adult, and £519 per child.

The Skiplex slopes based in Chiswick, Reading and Basingstoke will be running childrens Easter activity camps from the 7-17 April. Kids aged 6-12 are welcomed. The day lasts from 9-3pm and is crammed full of skiing, snowboarding, sledging, art and crafts, games and races.
