The ski resort of Whistler in Canada will be opening early, on 17th November. There is a packed day planned with a some great events including the Wonder-Full Gondolas event - gifts for the first 1500 guests! The cool temperatures together with the natural snow and impressive snowmaking facilities means the Whistler resort can open 5 days early. With five lifts running, guests will have the option to upload from either the Whistler Village Gondola or the Creekside Gondola. Blackcomb Mountain will open, as scheduled, on American Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 22, 2012.
