Coronet Peak in New Zealand have announced they are to floodlight some of their ski fields, including some beginner slopes, every evening between 4pm and 9pm.  This has proved popular with locals in the past as an activity particularly with families, prompting them to open it up to visitors as well.

So if you fancy a different ski experience get booking your 'summer' ski trip down under.

All four ski areas are now officially open at Lake Wanaka, New Zealand.  Great early season conditions are reported so if you are in need of a snow fix head down under...

Reckon ski racing isn't scary enough already? Trust Swedish freeskier Jon Olsson to raise the stakes by sending three skiers down a course with mere inches between them.

Jon, inventor of heaps of crazy flips in the park and pipe and holder of nine X-Games medals, took up ski racing again a few years ago, but is clearly giving it his own twist of danger.

The news announced today that Eddie Izzard is to headline Altitude, comedy festival in Mayrhofen this year, has made us MadDogSki girls very happy. We are heading out there for the week and can't wait to see our heroes of comedy. Following the news that you have to add a breathalyser (or two) to your car equipment when you drive in France, here is an update. It seems that these plans have been shelved indefinitely due to the lack of knowledge of the legal limits by visitors to the country. As you can see from the list at the end the UK has the highest limit - almost double the French limit - which obviously increases the confusion.
