Les Arcs is a favourite resort of ours with its vast terrain and plentiful ski in, ski out accommodation. There’s even more reason to visit from 27-30 March when the resort is hosting its very first ‘Great British Celebration’.

Despite the implications of Brexit, Les Arcs wants to celebrate its British visitors and remind them that the resort will always welcome them to the Paradiski slopes.

From the valley to the summit of Aiguille Rouge, Les Arcs will be decked out in the red, white and blue of the union jack, and there will be fun events running in each of the different villages each day.

Amongst the many family-friendly events taking place will be a Robin Hood tournament (with foam-tipped arrows), and a Franco-British sledge contest – from which we’re sure much hilarity will ensue.

Mayor of Les Arcs Michel Giraudy, says “Brexit or not Brexit, that’s not the question! The British skiers are welcome in Les Arcs like it is their home. By creating the event – The Great British Celebration, we want to reassert our friendship with the British. The idea is also to make French people discover the rich Anglo-Saxon culture and to celebrate our union, here in our ski resort and on our ski slopes. ”

The celebration will open again for spring skiing from April 8-22.

For those tempted to join in with the festivities there are some great offers to be had. Visitors can enjoy the vast Paradiski area along with a full week of accommodation for as little as £258 per person. Take a look at all of the Les Arcs accommodation offers.
