Chalet Le Refuge is in the centre of Villeneuve – one of the four main centres in the Serre Chevalier valley. The chalet entrance is slightly tucked back from the main street and has been created within one of the original old buildings in the centre of the village. It is charmingly authentic with many original features.
The chalet sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms located over two floors (there are also two short flights of stairs from street level to get to the chalet entrance). There are four twins and one double, all of which have their own bathroom.
Typically the chalet is offered with full chalet catering, which includes a buffet breakfast with a different hot option every day, afternoon tea and three course evening meal with wine. As you’d expect, chalet staff have one day off in the week and will help you choose a local restaurant for eating out. The living room/dining area also has a lovely wood burner and a large flat screen TV.
The location could hardly be more convenient. It’s on the main street, but also just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest lift (Aravet) and the local shuttle bus stop. You’re also pretty close to a reasonable selection of shops and restaurants. There’s a boot room area in the chalet but guests can also leave their ski gear in a locker closer to the Aravet lift.
As well as chalet board, prices also include towels and bed linen. As with all chalet holidays, if you have any dietary requirements simply let Zenith know when you book so they can work out a suitable menu for you.
Transfers included from Turin or Grenoble airport, but if you would prefer to drive and arrive via train, Zenith can give you advice and organise parking or transfers.
The chalet has free Wi-Fi throughout.
