Toboganning

There are three approved toboggan runs in Zermatt (tobogganing on the ski run is too dangerous).  Most ski hire shops will rent sledges out for about 15chf per day. Rotenboden to Riffelberg - Take the Gornergrat train to Rotenboden, use your ski pass. Rent your toboggan at Rotenboden and sledge down the track 1.5km to Riffelberg. Then jump back on the train and do it all again!  Take care on your first go as the track can be pretty fast in places. Open 8am-5pm, Tel: +41 (0)27 921 4711, http://www.gornergrat.ch Sunnegga - every Wednesday (mid-December to mid-April), have dinner at Restaurant Sunnegga and then toboggan back to town (or take the cable car if you've eaten too much). To reserve call Restaurant Suggegga before 3pm. The one-way train ride and fondue costs from 33chf. Furi - Every Thursday and Friday (22 December to 12 March) from 7.30pm you can join in the toboggan fun ride from Furi to Zermatt.
