ESF Tignes

With 250 instructors in their bright red uniform, ESF is the largest ski school in Tignes. Whilst there is no guarantee how fluent their English will be, there is no doubt, with this many instructors, they are the most flexible and easy to book lessons with during the busy times. As well as teaching the usual skiing, snowboarding and off-piste they also offer snow-shoeing, freestyle, cross-country, competition training, slalom races, heli-skiing/boarding, telemarking, handicap skiing and ski-touring.  The kids' lessons start at four years old for skiing and eight for snowboarding. They also offer Ice climbing, up the frozen waterfall between Tignes and Val d'Isere, one of the more adventurous activities and probably not for the faint-hearted.   Situated : Val claret - opposite the Tufs chairlift, +33 (0)4 79 06 31 28 Le lac - Palafour building, next to Intersport +33 (0)4 79 06 30 28 Le lavachet - next to sherpa  +33 (0)4 79 40 08 84 Les brévières - maison de Tignes +33 (0)4 79 06 51 13
