Zermatt hosts a variety of winter activities from tobogganing and sleigh rides to ice climbing and mountaineering. For the group with non-skiers, the resort has something for everyone. Winter activities include ice hiking, ice climbing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sleigh-riding, helicopter rides, curling... the list goes on.
In addition to the above, there is a network of winter walking paths for non-skiers (or skiers needing a day off!). If you are thinking more in terms of a luxurious rest day, then many of the more expensive hotels have spas and swimming pools that you can use.

• Sit back and enjoy the view from a horse-drawn carriage
• Learn to ice-climb up various frozen waterfalls in and around Zermatt
• See Zermatt’s stunning scenery from the skies on a paragliding trip
• Go tobogganing on one of the three runs in Zermatt
