An inexpensive family oriented restaurant specialising in pizza and pasta. One of the best features is a children's playroom with an X-box 360 and various toys, separated from the dining space by a large curtain. All pizza and pasta dishes are available as small portions with a reduction of CHF2. The vegetarian selection of pastas, gnocchi, pizzas and salads make it one of the better vegi options. For example home made ravioli filled with aubergine in butter and sage at CHF20.50, and home made gnocchi with gorgonzola at CHF19. Pizza options include Margharita at CHF14.50 and Parma ham at CHF22.50. Since the Swiss are not known for a love of hot chili, we were pleasantly surprised at the spicy Pizza Inferno at CHF19.50. Pasta options such as tagliatelli, tortollini and raviolis are varied, including Spaghetti with tomato and basil at 15.50. To finish there are all the usual suspects of Panna Cotta at CHF8.50 and Tiramisu at CHF9.50. The wine list is extensive, supplied by neighbouring Segnes Wine Bar, with something to suit all tastes and budgets from standard Chianti at CHF3.80 for 1dl to rarer and fine wines in the CHF2000 range. A glass of Prosecco (1dl) is CHF7.50 and 3dl of beer is CHF4. Service is prompt and pleasant, as one would expect - the restaurant is part of the 5 star Park Waldhaus Hotel operations. Smoking and non-smoking tables are well seperated and the restaurant is lively with plenty of large tables for groups. Atmosphere is perhaps a bit lacking and the decor somewhat dull, but overall a good place to go for groups and families.
