Il Tschaler

Situated inside the Park Hotel Waldhaus, Il Tschaler is a new restaurant offering possibly the widest range of specialty fondues in the area. Five different Fondue Chinoise (with meat) and some 13 different cheese fondues are available as well as raclette. The design is cosy and rustic as befits a fondue restaurant, service is excellent as one would expect of a 5-star hotel. Starters range from local barley soup (Gerstensuppe) at CHF9.50 to a mountainous mixed salad with ham, tomato, mozzarella and croutons for CHF14.50. The cheese fondues are mostly around the CHF26.50 - 27 range per person, rising to the luxurious Fondue Delizius using fresh truffles and truffle oil at CHF38 per person. Uniquely it is possible to get three different fondues in one specially designed pot at CHF 28.50. There are a couple of options for kids with pasta and tomato sauce at CHF14.50 and children's dessert options such as the 'Wonder Bibi' at CHF5.50. For the adults fresh fruit salad is CHF11, or if you're not totally fed up of fondue forks by now and want the full experience, chocolate fondue is CHF16.50. Reservations are recommended.
