Welcome to the biggest linked ski area in the world and also one of the most impressive. America's six largest ski resorts would fit into the Three Valleys, which is home to Meribel, Mottaret, Meribel-Village, Les Allues, Le Raffort Les Menuires and St Martin and Val Thorens. The lifts (over 200) are second to none, and the lift pass system is hands-free making it an unbeatable combination. Skiing in the Three Valleys is all about travelling. You can set out in the morning and have skied four valleys by the close of the day. Early intermediates can ski quite happily never leaving their valley all week. If you haven’t skied here before, nothing prepares for the vastness that awaits you.Beginners
There is a small nursery slope at Rond Point (at the top of the village) which is mainly used by the children’s ski school.
Intermediates
The run from the second station of the Plattieres gondola above Mottaret and back to the first station is ideal, although can be busy.
Advanced
A good mogul run is down the side of the double Rob de Tougne draglift which leads up to Mont de la Challe.
Off-piste
The descent known as The Carin from the Mouflon piste at the top of Plattieres gondola.
