Alternatively, take the train from the UK to the nearby Alpine station Moutiers, with the Eurostar ski train or Rail Europe’s Snow Train.

To get from the airport to Meribel, you can take a transfer, hire a car or take an airport bus.

Skiing and snowboarding in Meribel


Beginners
There is a small nursery slope at Rond Point (at the top of the village) that is mainly used by the children’s ski school.

Intermediates
Rossignol or Sittelle from the second station of the Plattieres gondola above Mottaret and back to the first station is ideal, although it can be busy.

Advanced
A good mogul run is Bartavelle down the side of the double Rob de Tougne draglift which leads up to Mont de la Challe.

Off-piste
The descent known as The Carin from the Mouflon piste at the top of Plattieres gondola.
