Off the pistes, there are plenty of activities to keep the non-skier happy.
Shopping in the village is quite extensive, especially for sports clothing, and there are plenty of large
supermarkets to keep the self-caterers happy. The local
cinema can be found at the Venosc end of town on the rue des Vikings or browse the couple of museums on offer in the resort.
For the outdoor types, although there is no sports centre as such, Les Deux Alpes is served well by a host of activities to occupy you when you're not skiing. The outdoor swimming pool and ice rink can be found in the
Place des 2 Alpes and both are free with a 6-day ski-pass. An absolute must if you have kids, try their Dodgems on Ice. They only operate on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and they're not exactly fast, but the kids will love it.
