There are plenty of things to do in La Clusaz if you are a non-skier, including visiting the shops, going for a snowshoe walk or taking a trip to the nearby medieval lakeshore town of Annecy. If you would like to do something a bit more active why not try pareting – the single blade sledging famous in this region - swimming in the high pool with views over the pistes or ice-skating.

Five to try
- Paragliding – you can really appreciate the area from a tandem paraglide. It’s an amazing experience to swoop low over skiers and people in restaurants as you glide over the pistes and mountains
- Swimming with views overlooking La Clusaz and the Cret du Merle Piste. There are both indoor and outdoor pools, toddler pool, waterslide (in summer) and fitness centre
- Go skiing behind horses - otherwise known as ski jouring
- If you like to sweat it out, do some cross-country skiing over some of the 70km of pistes on the Beauregard and Confins plateaus
- Snowshoeing is a fantastic way to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. There are 35km of pedestrian tracks around La Clusaz on the Beauregard Plateau and in the Lac de Confins area
